The Stoicism of British Ad Men
Those Brits sure are stoic. Google reports 906 hits for the phrase "stoic British" and 179 hits for "stoic Londoners." By contast, there are apparently no stoic Moscovites (a nation defined by its stoicism), only 31 google hits for "stoic New Yorkers" and a mere 35 hits for "stoic Americans."
I've got to give it to those Brits. Even though they've lost so much, stoic they remain. No longer competitive on the world stage in sports they invented? No bother, they're stoic. That golden orb we call the Sun setting daily upon the British Empire? No worries, Brits are stoic. Shrinking world influence? But they're stoic. An economy propped up by nothing more solid than tourisim? But they're stoic. Loss of world power status? Stoic. Stealing India's cuisine and claiming it for they're own? Stoic.
Stoic, stoic, stoic.
Gotta love the stoicism of those 24-hour a day, self-promoting Brits. They are stoic.
